On 10 October 2025, the round table entitled “Development of agricultural tourism and community tourism from a sustainability perspective” was held at the University of Hanoi (HANU). The event was organized as part of the 2025 project “Training – Professional orientation and awareness of sustainable tourism”, carried out in collaboration with the Organization Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF).

On this occasion, Horizon Vietnam had the honor of accompanying and participating in the event, thus confirming the company’s commitment to promoting the development of sustainable tourism and respecting local communities in Vietnam.

The event brought together numerous experts from the tourism sector, representatives of international organizations, teachers, businesses and over 250 students from different study paths. The objective of the round table was to create a space for discussion on the opportunities and challenges linked to the development of a responsible and eco-compatible tourism model.

Throughout the program, speakers shared multiple perspectives and practical experiences related to initiatives to promote responsible tourism, protect the environment and generate benefits for local communities.

The discussions also highlighted the challenges facing the tourism sector in the context of climate change and growing environmental impacts. The experts underlined the need to develop tourism models capable of preserving ecosystems, while enhancing the cultural heritage and traditional local crafts.

Ms Adjara Diouf, coordinator of the OIF “Promotion of Sustainable Tourism” project, spoke at the round table held on 10 October in Hanoi.

In this context, Horizon Vietnam’s participation was also an opportunity to share the experience of a company that for many years has been committed to creating responsible and value-rich travel itineraries, encouraging travelers to explore rural areas and to fully understand the life of local communities.

The massive presence of students gave the event a dynamic atmosphere. Through projects, initiatives and discussions with experts and companies, young people had the opportunity to understand more closely both the challenges and the potential of sustainable tourism in the future.

The round table has become a space for intergenerational dialogue, helping to connect the academic world, international organizations and businesses operating in the tourism sector.

For Horizon Vietnam, participation in events of this kind represents a precious opportunity to share experiences, promote collaborations and support the birth of new tourism-oriented initiativesor more sustainable. Through this event, Horizon Vietnam once again confirms its desire to contribute to the development of responsible tourism, which respects the environment and brings positive value to both travelers and local communities.
