If you are looking for a direct flight to Vietnam, know that only two airlines offer you this option: Vietnam Airlines and Air France. Following an agreement between the two airlines, flights are sold and operated by one or the other.
If a stopover doesn’t bother you, you will find many other airlines serving Vietnam via various countries, particularly Emirates and Turkish Airlines, for example. However, the travel time will often be longer, and the price is not necessarily more economical.
Flights from France
Vietnam has at least five major international airports:
-
Tan Son Nhat (SGN), Ho Chi Minh City
-
Noi Bai (HAN), Hanoi
-
Cam Ranh (CXR), Nha Trang
-
Da Nang (DAD), Da Nang
-
Phu Quoc (PQC)
However, only Hanoi (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) currently receive direct flights from Paris.

Connecting Flights
From other French cities (Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Bordeaux, etc.), you will often need to go through a hub (usually Paris CDG or an international airport in Europe or the Middle East).
Travel times vary greatly depending on the number of connections and the route chosen.
The Price of Flights to Vietnam
Flight fares between France and Vietnam depend mainly on the booking period, tourist season, and level of demand. In general, booking several months in advance, you can find direct flights from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle (CDG) starting from about 550 – 700€ round trip, or even less during special promotions from Vietnam Airlines or Air France.
If you plan to reach the airport by car, it is strongly recommended to book parking in advance. Indeed, parking at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle is among the most expensive in France, and budget parking fills up quickly, especially during school holidays or peak departure periods.
