Chapter 1 (10/5/2025) – Horizon Vietnam alongside hematology hospital patients
Table of contents
At Hanoi Central Hematology Hospital, hundreds of patients from every corner of the country struggle every day against serious illnesses. Many live in great precarity. Among them, children, elderly people, parents worn out by anxiety… all face a difficult daily life: heavy treatments, long hospital stays, distance from their homes, physical and emotional exhaustion.

Many patients line up to receive their gift with a smile
Some patients must stay in the hospital for several weeks, even for several months. For those with limited means, each day becomes a true challenge – not only from a medical point of view, but also human and economic. It is in this context that, every month, Horizon Vietnam goes to the hospital to bring some comfort through simple but meaningful gestures.
On May 10, 2025, we had the opportunity to meet about 400 patients. To each one we gave fresh oranges and small packages of milk. These gifts, modest but offered with sincerity, sparked smiles, moved looks, and sometimes a few discreet but profound words of thanks.
At Horizon Vietnam, we believe that travel is also an encounter with humanity. It is not limited to landscapes or itineraries. It is also a way to be present where need is discreet but very real, and to create bonds, even in the most fragile places.

We sincerely thank the healthcare staff for their warm welcome and daily dedication, as well as the patients and their families for their trust. And because solidarity is not improvised, but built over time, we commit to continuing these actions, with humility, wherever a simple gesture can ease, encourage, and reassure. Because sometimes, being present, listening, and extending a hand is already so much.
