Horizon Vietnam Travel Accompanies a Solidarity and Medical Action in Hoang Su Phi, 15/11/2025

On November 15, 2025, Horizon Vietnam Travel accompanied several humanitarian groups as well as a team of volunteer doctors to organize a major day of free medical consultations for the benefit of 1,200 inhabitants of Hoang Su Phi district, in Hà Giang province.

In parallel with medical examinations, the team also conducted various support actions aimed at families in difficulty, in order to provide concrete assistance to the inhabitants of this mountainous region. The initiative aims to improve access to healthcare and to support communities living in areas where healthcare services and essential resources remain limited.

More than 3,000 free consultations completed
\r\n
A team of experienced doctors, from major hospitals in Hanoi, traveled to Hoang Su Phi to visit the inhabitants on site. Their presence allowed everyone to receive care in good conditions, with seriousness and benevolence.

During the day, various specialist examinations were offered:

- 2,000 ultrasounds
- 500 ENT endoscopies
- 350 gynecological consultations with cervical cancer screening
- 60 thyroid and breast cell samples
- Reading of 400 anatomopathology samples

In addition to the examinations, all participants received the necessary medications free of charge, according to the prescriptions established by the doctors. This distribution allowed everyone to start appropriate treatment without any expense, which represents a precious support for many families.

\r\n\r\nThanks to these screenings, the medical team was able to identify 7 cases showing abnormal cells, suggesting a risk of cancer. The people concerned were supported and invited to go to the hospital quickly for more detailed examinations and appropriate care.\r\n
Material support for families in difficulty

In parallel with medical consultations, Horizon Vietnam Travel and volunteers also provided material support to the inhabitants. In total, 700 families in difficult situations received gifts including basic necessities, in order to help them in their daily lives.

A “zero dong market” was also organized. For several hours, hundreds of people were able to come and freely choose clothing and various articles useful for their home.

The atmosphere was friendly, everyone taking time to find what they needed, without any embarrassment or formality. These simple gestures brought warmth and comfort to the families, and made it possible to share a moment of sincere solidarity with the local community.

The event was met with great enthusiasm by the population of Hoàng Su Phì. The smiles, gratitude, and shared emotion made this day a powerful moment of solidarity.
