Horizon Vietnam Mobilizes After Typhoon in Northern Vietnam (October 2025)

Table of contents

At the beginning of October 2025, northern Vietnam was struck by a typhoon of unusual intensity. The torrential rains that followed caused severe flooding, cutting off roads, submerging rice fields, and isolating numerous villages. The provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, and Ha Giang were among the hardest hit. In these regions, life came to a halt for several days: residents had to leave their homes, schools closed, and crops were lost.

The images of temporarily flooded landscapes and residents united to protect their homes touched the hearts of the entire nation. But very quickly, in the face of suffering, solidarity took over. Everywhere, calls for help multiplied, and in Hanoi, numerous groups of volunteers organized to deliver food and essential supplies to the affected areas. It was in this spirit of collective action that Horizon Vietnam Travel mobilized. Faithful to its spirit of sharing and commitment to local communities, our team joined forces with various volunteer associations to organize seven humanitarian trips to the affected regions. These missions, often carried out in difficult conditions, made it possible to deliver thousands of packages of essential goods: drinking water, bread, noodles, milk, sausages, and other essential products.

The teams traveled along flooded roads, sometimes difficult to reach, to arrive in the affected areas. Everywhere they were welcomed with smiles, handshakes, and looks full of emotion. These simple moments, shared with children, families, and elderly people, restored courage and hope to those who needed it most. Despite the ordeal, residents of the northern provinces as well as urban areas once again demonstrated their extraordinary resilience. They stand up, repair, rebuild, often with few means but with great heart.

We are proud to have been able, in our own way, to take part in this collective spirit of solidarity. We will continue on this path with the same simplicity and the same spirit of closeness. Every gesture, however modest, has its importance. And if our commitment was able to bring a little comfort to those who needed it, then our efforts will have had their full meaning.

In a world where everything moves fast, these shared moments remind us of what matters: the value of human connection. Travel is also this – taking time to be present, listen, understand, and sometimes simply bring a little hope.
