Chapter 2 (13/6/2025) – Horizon Vietnam alongside central hematology hospital patients
Table of contents
At Horizon Vietnam we believe that solidarity begins with small gestures that are simple but sincere. It is in this spirit that, every month, our team goes to Hanoi’s Central Hematology Hospital to share some human warmth with those who need it most.
At the Central Hematology Hospital, hundreds of patients from every corner of the country struggle every day against serious illnesses. Many live in great precarity. Among them are children, elderly people, parents worn out by worry… All face heavy treatments, long hospitalizations, far from their own homes, in often difficult conditions.

Freshly harvested lychees from Mai Chau were transported the same day to be distributed to patients.
On June 13, 2025, in the height of lychee season, we wanted to bring a touch of sweetness to their daily lives. We thus offered about 400 patients a small package composed of one kilogram of ripe lychees and some small packages of milk. Nothing extraordinary, but a gesture offered with all our heart.
Every smile, every moved look reminded us how much a small attention can bring comfort on a day marked by fatigue or pain. These moments, simple but true, are the ones that touch us most and give us the desire to continue.

The lychees came directly from the orchards of Mai Chau. By purchasing them from local farmers, we also wanted to support the rural economy. This gesture of solidarity thus took on its full meaning: helping patients while at the same time valuing the work of producers.
That day we shared much more than fruit. We shared smiles, tenderness, and a bit of hope. And sometimes that is all that is needed. Gradually, with humility and persistence, we move forward to accompany more and more people in difficulty. And as long as there are needs, we will continue to reach out our hands, in our own way.
