Previously, from June 9 to 10, an unprecedented flood completely destroyed the Lung Cang bridge in Thuân Hoa commune, isolating more than 70 households. Many residents had to cross the stream using the collapsed bridge on foot or by raft, putting their lives and property at great risk. In response to this call for help from Vi Xuyên district, we unanimously decided to support the construction of a new reinforced concrete bridge. This bridge, measuring 44 meters long, 3.5 meters wide, and with a load capacity of 10 tons, will cost approximately 3 billion VND, of which 1 billion VND will be funded by Vi Xuyên district. Construction is expected to be completed within a period of 3-4 months.

The Thuân Hoa Bridge project is essential for residents of Lũng Cáng and Lũng Buông, offering safer and more convenient travel. This bridge will improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities, thus contributing to local economic development. The new bridge also represents collaboration between communities and organizations to overcome challenges and improve living conditions in the region.

At the same time, construction of Ban Pho – Lao Chai Kindergarten in Lao Chai commune also began. The project includes three classrooms, restrooms, a staff room, a cafeteria, a play area, and fencing, with an estimated cost of over 700 million VND. The school is expected to be completed before the start of the new school year, providing better educational facilities to 40 children of preschool age.

During the launch ceremony, district officials from Vi Xuyên and the two communes expressed their deep gratitude to the sponsors for these practical and valuable projects. Once completed, Thuân Hoa Bridge will ensure safe and convenient travel for residents, contributing to local economic development. Ban Pho Kindergarten will offer better learning conditions for children in this border region, helping to close the gap between rural and urban areas and contributing significantly to local social welfare policies.
